Problems with Photoshop Stamp Clone Tool with Windows under Virtual Box on Ubuntu.

Description
I have a problem using the Photoshop 7.0 Clone Stamp tool under Windows XP under Virtual Box 3.1.4 under Ubunto 9.04. Photoshop tells me to define the source area by pressing the Alt key and clicking with the left mouse button. If I do this and then try to use the Clone Stamp tool. It tells me the source area is undefined. This is not a problem if I boot Windows XP native and run Photoshop 7 that is installed on the native Windows XP the clone stamp tool works just fine.
