ISO Images creates I/O state inconsistent error

Description
I have only experienced this issue while trying to install on a guest machine, but when you use an ISO image Virtualbox will randomly crash. I was trying to install a Debian guest on to my Mac 10.5 host and I could never get past disk partitioning. I know nothing about Virtualbox's I/O systems but perhaps this is happening because Virtualbox must access the hard drive for both reading as a CD and writing as a hard drive (if that makes sense), it seems like the I/O cannot negotiate releasing the hard drive from reading to allow write (because it is in use in two different ways?)

Could you provide the full error message? It seems that for some reason it didn't make it into the VBox.log file.

Ok I added a new attachment that should have the error starting on line 791 which can be found at http://www.virtualbox.org/attachment/ticket/6240/Debian-2010-02-18-13-23-34.log sorry for the mixup
