Screen Resolution not resizing when switching different aspect ratios with Auto-resize Guest Display turned on

Description
I have setup VirtualBox on a portable HDD. When I boot the VM on one system it looks fine, but when I shutdown and boot up on another system with a different aspect ratio, the screen either is too big for the screen or I have black bars. I have both fullscreen mode and Auto-resize Guest Display turned on. I can hit HOST+F twice and then the screen will resize the next time it refreshes, like logging into windows.
