Description
In Windows XP virtual world. Have assigned to various virtual machines, under system, processor(s) 2 or 4 for different configurations. Virtual machines when running only see, report and use 1 core and 1 thread. Not reflective of settings on the details tab for any machines in use.

You must reinstall XP if you change the SMP config (1 -> SMP). Other option is to change the HAL. Use google to find out how.
