GTK+ apps segfault

Description
I'm using Arch Linux and KDEmod as a guest on a Windows XP host. After updating my guest recently, I am no longer able to launch GTK+ apps (at least I think this is the distinction). They simply segfault. I've tried Pidgin, Firefox, Evolution, Eclipse... None work. However, KDE apps such as Dolphin do work.
My other, nearly-identical Arch installation, which is not a VirtualBox guest, works just fine. Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide.

Figured out that the culprit is QtCurve for Gtk2. Again, since my non-VirtualBox installation works perfectly, VirtualBox may or may not play a role in triggering this bug.
