Deleting/Restoring Snapshots Hangs VirtualBox 3.2

Description
Virtualbox hangs while deleting or restoring snapshots. I have experienced this issue while running Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 64bit guests on Mac OS X 10.6.3. In both scenarios there were existing pre-3.2 snapshots of the guests. The only way to resume operation is to terminate VirtualBox. After termination the VM guests become unusable as it no longer is able to locate or use the differencing images.

All previous snapshots (pre 3.2) have been deleted so there is no way for me to reproduce the issue.
