Description
I'm not sure this should even be possible but the side effects are odd. I followed this guide http://shearer.org/MinimalEtchXen to setup a Debian Xen dom0 in Virtualbox. When rebooting into the Xen enabled kernel virtualbox 'Stops Responding'. The debian window disappears and the Virtualbox main app lists the virtual machine as 'aborted'.
The only reason I tried is because I want to experiment with Xen without having to run a new machine. From googling I've found that vmware is able to run a Dom0 host so it is in theory possible.
Virtualbox 1.5. Vista Business 32bit. w/Aero Glass enabled. VT extensions disabled.

Xen Dom0 guests doesn't work because Xen Dom0 kernels use PAE. PAE is not virtualized on VirtualBox.
