[feature-request] Make virtual monitor (screen/display) customizable

Description
Please make virtual monitor (screen/display) customizable resolution.
This way, if I have an auto-sensing Linux LiveCD running as guest, I still will be able to force-setup guest resolution.
Currently LiveCDs take full screen on Host, which prevents me from running them in windowed mode.
Not only the problem above, but also the LinuxAdditions suffer from this problem.

This wish is still very important as of VBox 3.1, not yet implemented.
Possible dumb workaround for now: reduce amount of Video RAM to 1MB per VM.

VMware Workstation has this feature. I believe it is very important to limit guest monitor resolution.

At least in the Additions we limit the maximum resolution unless the user explicitly disables that.
This way a virtual display will inform the virtual video card of it's capabilities (resolution, colors, etc...)
This one is VERY old request. Can you please take a second look at it ?
