Description
After upgrading to VBox 1.5 USB is not working properly. All tested USB Scanners (Dermalog ZF1, Epson CX 6600) which were working without problems on 1.4 are now unavailable. Message from Guest: in the mather "No Answer from Device". The tested Epson ist a multifuncional device. Printing via USB works. After downgrading to 1.4 again, all devices work properly.

Installed new v1.5.2, scanner works fine. I imagine in <=1.4.0, the scanner feel back to USB v1.1, in the intermediate versions it acted like a USB2.0 device and failed, but now with the EHCI/USB2.0 it works fine. Great work!

Try again with 1.6.0 and report back if it's still relevant. Thanks.
I can verify this; there has been a regression somewhere. Epson Perfection 1660 scanner works fine with VirtualBox 1.3.8 and 1.4.0, reports "cannot connect to device" with 1.5.0 and 1.5.2. The problem the same on Ubuntu Fiesty 7.04 and Gutsy 7.10. The problem is the same on Win2000 SP4 and WinXP SP2 clients. Memory SD-cards are seem to work fine with any version, and the USB printer works fine.
I've seen reports that you can disable the USB 2.0, and use the scanner with USB 1.1, but I have not tried this, and don't know how much credit to give them.
