Description
I try to install windows xp as guest. One of the installation steps is to format the drive (virtual drive). During that step VirtualBox crashes at 20% (see attached screenshot and log-file). This happens already since versin 3.2.0. I was only able to install the guest with virtual box 2.1.8. All newer versions crashed at the same processing step. However I attached only the log-files from the version 3.2.0. Unfortunatelly Guru Meditation occured without specifying the error more detailed.

The logs you attached are from VBox 3.2.0. Anyway, decrease the amount of RAM you assign to the VM (perhaps 1200MB) and it should work. The 32-bit address space of Windows hosts is very limited. The next major release will tighten this limit a bit.
I also tried to intall Kubuntu 10.04 LTS and it crashed as well during the installation. With 3.1.8 it works. So should be related to changes from version 3.1.8 to 3.2.0. Host machine is a LATITUDE E6400 with WinXP 32Bit. Hope this will help to find the reason.
