Snow leopard crash during Windows 7 installation in vbox 3.2.8

Description
I am trying to install Windows 7 on my MacBook in Oracle VM Virtual Box but my mac crashes everytime. I have tried different memory amounts and I am pretty sure it does not run out of memory. I am able to run Ubuntu using this vbox installation so it seems to be a problem specific to Windows 7.

Does really your host crash of does the VM process crash?
My host OS crashed yes. I had to physically restart the computer by hand.
