Description
Host system - Debian squeeze 32 bit bigmem kernel. 3.2.10r66523. Guest system OS/2 WSeB 4.5, kernel 14.086, communication driver SIO 1.60. Two serial ports, /dev/ttyS1 and /dev/ttyS2 connected to COM1 and COM2 in guest system. There is some old-time fidonet mailer software running for direct data transfer between peers. As I run it, data transfer begans, established session with correct handshake procedure and after that, sending side reports unreal speed ~70k before other side drops connection because of errors. Com port seems like unfunctional after this, needs virtual machine reboot. Basing on http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/7401 I've decreased maximum packet size to 128b and got one of the modems working with low performance but second one still didn't work, getting garbage like ММ╠ (8C 8C CC hex) instead of RING. What should I do to help debug? There is two real modems on machine, I can try to transfer some data between it if you like.
