Virtual Machine crashes host

Description
Windows Vista Laptop [Host] into which I created an ubuntu 10.04 guest. Loaded WINE and KAZ (Typing tutor) onto the Guest. Ran KAZ, the Laptop switched itself off.
KAZ uses sound system - could there be something specific to the sound setup?
Any way I can provide logs or something to aid diagnosis - a bug report saying "I ran KAZ in a clien and it crashed my Host" isn't the most descriptive.
