Description (last modified by )
Hi All,
I just had bug 7643 take down a production level server. The hard drive maxed at 100% as Cobian will not rotate corrupted backups.
While putting things back together, I noticed a side effect of the 100% usage: both guest's machine XML files got corrupted.
1) the *.xml file had zero length 2) apparently you tried to write something to the *.xml-prev file and it corrupted.
Both machine xml files were restored from backup.
Solution. Leave the machine xml files alone when disk usage hits 100%. Warn the operator instead.
Many thanks, -T
p.s. you do not need a log file for this, so none was submitted
