Description
registration dialog crashes after submit.
reproduceable
system & environment:
windows XP SP2 internet connection via modem/router firewall installed: comodo under user as well as admin account
details:
After pressing submit (whatever in the english version) on the registration dialog, independently from the settings of the firewall to let the vbox go through, independently from the start of the confirmation dialog (if automatically started on start of the vbox or via the help menu), the vbox starter application crashes.
If the firewall is set to confirm the access of vbox, the crash occures only after the confirmation was given - independently from its decision to block or to let pass. After that, a message comes up from the confirmation dialog stating that no access was given or the connection refused - dependend from the decision on the side of the firewall.
At the same time, on top of that message, the system dialog stating a crash of the vbox application occures while the application messagebox behind it is still responsive.
After confirming the application crash dialog, the application shuts down.

A temporary workaround is to dismiss the dialog three times. It won't come up again afterwards.
Do either of you use a proxy?

No proxy for me, in fact, the computer is on a local network without external Internet access. I reproduced the crash at home, here Internet access is working with no proxy. And I just noticed it suffices to close the registration form window to bypass the problem.

Hi there,
I am having a similar issue. I have a gentoo 64bit host, vbox version 1.5.2 .
When the registration message appears, clicking submit crashes the entire app (this is reproduceable on each run of the software). Dismissing the box with "close" results in no problem, and then the registration message does not appear until next boot.
I can add an error message if it appears, but I am having trouble getting the dialogue back on this boot.
