Window move problem in seamless mode
Reported by: | Aren Cambre | Owned by: | |
---|---|---|---|
Component: | GUI/seamless | Version: | VirtualBox 4.0.0 |
Keywords: | Cc: | ||
Guest type: | Linux | Host type: | Windows |
Description (last modified by )
Host= Windows 7 x64 Guest = Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop 64-bit
Seamless mode appears to obscure the entire guest screen except for a box around applications windows and certain OS toolbars.
If I drag an application window, this obscuring box's position doesn't change while dragging. It finally changes when I let go of the mouse.
While dragging, the application window gets cut off; it's as if I am dragging it behind a layer which, is the rest of the screen minus that original box. While dragging, the desktop background of the guest that was under the application window in its original position starts to become un-obscured.
I tried to take some screen shots during moves, but the print screen button is going to the guest while I am dragging, and the guest cannot "see" what is happening.

Yes, I had 3D enabled. It's now disabled, and that seems to have fixed it. I'll attach a log shortly.

Please reopen if still relevant with a recent VirtualBox release.
Could you please attach a log file for that VM? And do you have 3D effects enabled?
