Description (last modified by )
I unchecked "Auto capture keyboard" in File->Preferences->Input. But whenever I press alt+tab to change focus from virtualbox to another program and press alt+tab again to switch the focus back to virtualbox, virtualbox captures the keyboard automatically. It didn't happen in VirtualBox 3.x It started to happen since VirtualBox 4.0.4
I use windows xp sp3 as guest. And I use slackware64 linux as host.

This happens to me as well. Indeed it started from version 4.0.4 and behavior is the same in 4.0.6. I am using Windows 7 as guest and Debian lenny as the host with "awesome" as my window manager.
It seems that the application behaves the same whether "Auto capture keyboard" is checked or not. Sometimes the keyboard is being captured automatically and sometimes it doesn't. I couldn't find a pattern.
This is very annoying. Please let us know if there is any additional information you need to solve this issue.
Thanks.

Do you see this with 4.1? It doesn't happen for me with an Ubuntu 11.04/Unity host.

Thanks for the feedback.
It happens with compiz and virtualbox >= 4.0.4
With vbox 4.0.4 and KWin, it doesn't happen.
With compiz and virtualbox < 4.0.4, it doesn't happen.
Anyway, it's still a bug. I don't want to use kwin.
