Mouse problems after installing Guest Additions

Description
After installing Guest Additions, the active window, regardless of application, treats any movement of the mouse as a scroll down, causing the active window to scroll to the bottom of the page. I'm running VirtualBox 4.0.4 on a Mac, OS 10.6.7. Guest machine is Windows XP with SP3. Problem persists regardless of mouse. I've tried a Logitech USB mouse and a plain 2-button mouse.
