I like to see the feature that opens the virtual machine in the same Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager window. This feature is similar to VMware Workstation and Qemu Manager. This makes easier to switch the multiple virtual machine and saves from finding the necessary virtual machine window thus saving your time.

Double-clicking on the entry of a running VM in the manager window raises the window to the front. That should make it rather easy to find as well.
Squeezing everything into a single window provides a worse user experience if you ask me.
