Guest mouse malfunctions in multiscreen environment

Whenever I move the guest window to another monitor the mouse always hits an invisible barrier inside the window as if its run into the top or side of the window. The x-y coordinates that it decides is a barrier seems arbitrary. The guest mouse stops but then reappears outside the guest window as if Rt Ctrl had been pressed and freely roams outside the guest window until you move back into the guest window at which point the mouse begins function inside the guest window again until you move back to the invisible barrier again.
Reproducible every time the guest window is moved away from the primary monitor. Size of guest window does not matter, symptoms appear 100% of the time outside the primary monitor.

I can confirm this bug on version 4.0.12.
It would be very nice if this bug got fixed.

This bug is still present in 4.1.2, on Win7 host and Win8 guest (regardless of whether Guest Additions are installed or not).
Seems to work fine with an old Xubuntu guest VM, running either 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 Guest Additions.

This bug still exists in 4.1.4, but you can easily work around it by changing your primary display to the monitor you want to run the VM on.

can confirm too. bug with dualview monitor mode and mouse pointer exists in 4.1.4

Same issue here, running Virtualbox 4.1.8 on a Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit host, with a Windows XP Pro SP3 guest. Moving the guest screen to my primary monitor causes all of the issues to go away, although moving it back to my secondary screen causes the mouse issues to crop up again.
