Description
I have a larger number of VMs listed in the VBox GUI, and I've noticed the following problems with that GUI (widget that lists the VM), that become obvious when the list is bigger:
- the individual entries in the list have considerable height (big icons, two lines of text), this causes that only 13 VMs are visible at a time on my screen resolution (1024x768). Having an option here to use smaller height entries, possibly with reduced info would help here (like the style used by VMWare Server 1.x)
- entries are always listed in order they where added to the system. Ability to sort the list and to manually move the entries up/down the list would be quite an improvement. This is essential to handling a larger collections of VMs
- allow quick search in this widget to select a VM by quickly typing first few letters of a VMs name
- possibility to rename VMs from within the GUI

Typing when the VM list has the focus should result in a quick search. Also resorting by drag&drop is possible (ctrl++-).

See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
You already can rename VMs in the GUI. Just open the VM settings and change the VM name. I don't think this should be possible inline.
