Description
Hello. I am getting this strange blue-screen-of-death freeze upon entering "cmd," and then going fullscreen (for example, through alt+tab). This happens under XP guest, Ubuntu 11.04 host. It happens every time and prevents me from going fullscreen through the command line, and thus makes a homebrew entertainment piece of media of mine unable to get working properly.

Actually, to bring clarification to the first post, the crash happens when, after entering the command-prompt interface in Windows XP, one goes fullscreen through alt-enter. Then, the whole screen appears black, and the system frozen, and there is no possibility of restoring normal functioning except through a system reboot.

I have no problem in the VBox 4.0. But I had same problem after installing VBox 4.1 and it additions. My virtual machine (WinXP32) dies with black screen after running fullscreen DOS applications. Then I restore VBox 4.0. But problem does not go away. After reinstalling guest additions 4.0.12r72916 problem is gone.
So I think guest additions 4.1.x causes this problem.
my host is Ubuntu 11.04 x86_64.

If I am not mistaken this issue has been solved in recent versions.
However, there is a new, related problem: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/9813
