Hi,
I noted at least two functions being used that are not longer supported in the latest API though they are used in the sample: IVirtualBox_getMachine IVirtualBox_openRemoteSession
There might be others - as I couldn't get the sample to work, I wrote my own perl script from scratch using the guide.

I also noticed that the perl script also lacks certain predefined values such as Event Type (i.e. VBoxEventType_Any)
