ubuntu 7 live dvd dows not start after bootmenu

On a ubuntu7 live dvd I can reach the boot menu. choosing start ubuntun in live mode brings only a black screen.

The same with a direct installation of ubuntu7.04 32bit desktop. It does not start up.
