Description (last modified by ) ¶
I am running a Windows XP32 guest on Mac OSX 10.6.8 host. I am in the process of developing a project that requires me to connect to an Altera Dev Kit through a Altera USB-Blaster. I could not get the USB-Blaster to show in the Device Manager instead it was always shown as 'Unknown Device'. Both tt's PID and VIP were 0000, although in the VirtualBox USB Device Filter both were correct. I had been running the XP guest using 4 cores of the 8 available. I found that by just using 1 core the problem went away and the USB-Blaster device registered correctly. However if I used any more than 1 core, the problem would come back and the device would be unkown. This also happens with the 'Space Navigator' from '3DConnection' I have connected. Flash drives appear to be operating normaly
