Description
In Windows XP command prompt, alt-tab to get fullscreen mode using cmd, only to get smaller-than-should-be text letters. That is, using high resolutions (such as 1080p), text only takes the center of the screen, when it should enlarge to fill up the whole screen.

I am sorry. I meant "when you press alt-enter to get to fullscreen mode," and implied nothing regarding the use of "alt-tab." I described the wrong key combo. Please open the ticket again, as I believe you might have misunderstood the fundamental problem at issue here.
There is a button down there, "reopen ticket," and I am going to highlight it just in case.

I believe the following should take care of this issue: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/10852
If this happens to be the case, the current-page ticket is to be closed.

I am confirming this issue to be non-existent.
The resolution of a full-screen "command prompt" under Windows XP indeed is of 720x400, and that (rightly) is what VirtualBox virtualizes, too.
I am sorry to have unnecessarily opened a ticket; that is, one for a completely-imaginary defect.

Thanks for the explanation!
This is not a VirtualBox bug. When you press ALT+Tab then Windows switches to a small screen resolution and the monitor will zoom the screen to the full size. VirtualBox does not change the host screen resolution. If you need that then enter the scale mode in that case.
