Graphic issue on booting a guest

If I'm starting a guest I'm seeing at the booting menu (where the option "Press F12 to select boot device." is provided) within the back background a small square that is a bit brighter than the background.

While I'm still seeing this square while making a screenshot it does not appear in the screenshot.

Interesting. How did you do the screenshot, did you use the VBox functionality or did you use a separate tool from the host?

The screenshot was made by the host. But I have now made a screenshot with the VirtualBox functionality and the square is visible there. In the attachments is the screenshot.

Maybe I'm blind the picture looks to me like a black background with the white text on it. Where did you spot the square?

The square is at the center with a size of 32x32 pixel and a color of #000300. If you still don't see it maybe it helps to increase the brightness or to look from a higher angle in case of a TN panel.

Ok, I still didn't see it but a color picker shows the suspicious pixels. The reason is here​. Fixed in r59256. The fix will be part of the next 5.0.x maintenance release.

Just a reminder that VirtualBox 5.0.14 is already out (so that this ticket can be closed) and on my last testing I remember to not have seen this issue anymore.
